I am walking on air – relaxed and hydrated – after trying the Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum facial at East Day Spa today, where I got to hear all about it from Antipodes Global Beauty Expert Stephanie Simeon…

Steph is about to head off to London on a training trip for the extremely exciting development that Antipodes has been accepted into Selfridges’ new natural beauty department which opens this Spring (so in London’s Autumn) in their famous Beauty Floor. To get stocked at Selfridges is an amazing feat and to their knowledge they are the only New Zealand brand in this new natural beauty department. Congratulations, Antipodes.

Below: Hosanna H20 Intensive Skin-Plumping Serum. The water-based (not oil-based) serum is designed to plump up your skin contour with bioactives. It has been scientifically shown to stimulate optimal synthesis of type 1 collagen by 72%.

I head into East Day Spa in Auckland’s SkyCity to experience it for myself. Oh happy day.

Hosanna serum is a water-based serum and is oil-free. It contains Vinanza Grape antioxidant from New Zealand sauvignon blanc grapes to build resistance to damage caused by environmental pollutants, and mamaku black fern for cell renewal. Steph explained to me that our skin needs the water for hydration and some women prefer a lighter, less oily serum, especially some younger women just starting to look at anti-ageing products.

The founder Elizabeth Barbalich (daughter of a Presbytarian Minister) names her products with uplifting titles with a spiritual bent, including Joyous serum, Saviour skin balm, Resurrect toner and Apostle serum.

Gorgeous girls with lovely smiles and of course great skin: Stephanie Simeon (Global Beauty Expert) and Alannah Rameka (PR & Online Media) from Antipodes.

Hosanna serum retails for $49 and is available now from Antipodes stockists. See their website www.antipodesnature.com for details.
