Every year crowds of more than 22,000 people travel from all over NZ to see the very best international and local acts, live and loud at Hamilton’s Mystery Creek. We’re proud to announce the following acts you can look forward to seeing at P’07!
After 10 years on the circuit, Third Day return for a third festival performance. 23 #1 hits, 2 Grammy’s, 24 Dove Awards, and a rock’n live show – we keep asking them back for a reason! For more alternative tastes, we have a very special treat in store. Thousand Foot Krutch, Hawk Nelson and Falling Up are three of the hottest punk/rock acts to come out of North America in a while; yes – that’s THREE ‘must-sees’ in one hit!!
Slowing the tempo but not the intensity, meet Darlene Zschech and the Hillsong Worship Team. Their songs impact millions around the world, making Hillsong’s ministry one of the widest-reaching worship movements of our time. Grammy Award winner Rebecca St James is straight out of Nashville and CCM’s Favourite Female Artist of the Year. Mesmerising and unique, St James can claim 17 Top 10 singles – including 9 #1 hits.
Reason to believe there’s room in the world for one more singer-songwriter – Seattle’s Shawn McDonald is nominated for Best Male Artist and Best Album in the 2006 CCM Readers Choice Awards, and he’s back at festival for a second show.
Local goldenboys Nesian Mystik have had a busy year, hectic with the release of their brilliant second album, FRESHMEN. In the four years since their debut, Nesian Mystik have raised the standard for NZ hip hop with 6 Top 10 hits and 2 gold records.
They came out of nowhere, but it looks like Spacifix are here to stay in the wake of the blistering success of ‘Sunshine Day’, the cracker first single from their much-anticipated debut MUCH LOVE. This West Auckland crew redefine funk!
Mumsdollar are back with a thumping reminder why they’re at the frontline of local punkrock; Wellington hiphop honeys Rapture Ruckus will be sure to kickstart a frenzy; and festival favourites The Lads return from a stint in the US.
Beyond the music, we’re very excited to announce preacher, teacher, extraordinaire, Joyce Meyer will be making her first NZ visit to speak at festival! Joining her are Christine Caine (Hillsong, Sydney) and Jurgen Matthesius (CCC, San Diego). We can’t feel better about having these guys on the roster – you’ll leave feeling refreshed, challenged and inspired.
