Backstage with Models at Trelise Cooper Theatre of Fashion
We go backstage with the Trelise Cooper models with photographer Anupam Singh before the Trelise Cooper ‘Theatre of Fashion’ runway show for SS16/17 held at Auckland’s Q Theatre.
Makeup – created by MAC cosmetics, led by Lockie Stonehouse – saw two layers of fake eyelashes in blue on models’ eyes, and creamy cheeks, with soft pink lips.
Hair was created by Bettjemans, led by Sacha, using L’Oreal Professionnel.
The first part of the show featured the Alice prints, and stripes with patterns with florals, all styled with headpieces, neck bows, and even tiny teacups perched on a model’s head.
The second part of the show saw a shift to resort wear and the white broderie lace pieces for hazy summer days. This had a nod to the Italian Riveria, the Adriatic and Cote d’Azur, with kaftans, tunics, loose floaty layers and slimline diaphanous dresses channeling the mood of days in the riveria. Many of the beaded white dresses would be perfect for a summer bride.
