Ethical clothing label WE’AR launches Autumn/Winter Collection ‘WOLF’
WE’AR Clothing’s newest Autumn/Winter Collection WOLF launched in stores this week, and I headed along to their media night on Thursday at their Ponsonby store. I was somewhat familiar with the ethically-produced, “conscious living” clothing and yoga brand as they showed at New Zealand Fashion Week, and I think I briefly talked to them before the show since I was doing the NZFW Backstage Blog.
We were welcomed with a selection of healthy food and drink: Balanced Energy organic teas, healthy treats from Mondays – as well as flutes of Collet Champagne. There’s nothing like bubbles to complement a healthy diet, I say.
So, what’s the AW16 collection like?
The latest collection, entitled WOLF, maintains a cool neutral palette with a touch of maroon in a few key pieces for a pop of colour.
The collection has a mixture of chunky knit sweaters, soft denim tops, long dresses, and silky button-up shirts. The collection boasts solid colours except for one standout tree print as seen on a long-sleeved dress, wrap-around skirt and tank top.
In footwear, the suede and leather ankle boots will be also be a must-have this upcoming winter season. The WOLF collection, which is made sustainably and supports local women in small home workshops and factories in the Chang Gu area of Bali Indonesia, is now available in their Ponsonby and Waiheke stores and will soon be up on their website, we-ar.it
