R O C H E L L E Renewal Collection at NZ Fashion Week
Photos from the R O C H E L L E Renewal Collection at NZ Fashion Week on Thursday 25 September 2016 at 6pm, featuring a live performance by Stan Walker and a turn on the runway by netball star, Maria Tutaia.
Singer Stan Walker performed on the catwalk of ROCHELLE by designer Rochelle Goodrick – the last onsite show of New Zealand Fashion Week 2016, giving the audience a taste of his single ‘You Never Know’, to be released the following morning.
It was my first time seeing ROCHELLE, and I didn’t know what to expect – but it turned out to be one of my favourites of the week in terms of using live music to good effect, and also in beautiful, wearable clothes that I can see so many New Zealand women coveting for that pared-back urban look. The off-shoulder gowns were a stand-out.
Rochelle says her philosophy for modern women and her own life is “Garments that have an enigmatic quality, making women who have it all, feel powerful, in control and beautiful without having to reveal everything.”
Interestingly, her website states, “Being wholesome is more than just the dress Rochelle wears, only ever consuming plant based products and having never touched a drop of alcohol Rochelle lives to inspire others to achieve their ultimate desires through the process of ‘Renewal’.”
Here are some of our favourite pieces from the Renewal Collection by ROCHELLE.
