Blogging is a great way of keeping up to date with what’s happening in the world.

Trends start, rumours are confirmed, tips, photos, ideas and most importantly inspiration can be found.

Here is my pick for the best in interior blogging:

1. Décor 8
Ever-popular design blog, founded 6 years ago by American Holly Becker.

She now has a couple of interior books and is a regular style and design lecturer. Give yourself time for this blog, it has endless links and hours can be lost.

2. Ben Penthreath
Being a big fan of his interiors shop in Bloomsbury, London, his blog is a true delight and equally inspiring. The visuals are great. Its a good English blog with quintessential English style.

3. Desire to Inspire
Kim and Jo have never met. Kim lives and blogs from Canada. Jo from Australia. They met on Flickr, shared some interior images and in 2006 their blog was born. It’s fun and amusing and well worth a regular look.

4. Beautiful Bedlam
A New Zealand favourite. The design section is addictive. Anya Brighouse’s blog keeps one up to date on what’s hot in New Zealand fashion, film, books and design.

5. Abigail Ahern
This is subtitled “Guerrilla blogging from the frontline of interiors” and it sure lives up to its word. Abigail has a friendly, chatty style and after following the blog it may seem like you actually know her. Another lecturer on the interior scene, this blog gives great insight in the life and times of an interiors fanatic.

6. Fancy! New Zealand Design Blog
Up to the minute design and interiors from New Zealand. It’s a goodie, very visual and easy to have a quick, frequent look at.

7. Charlotte Minty
Wellingtonian Charlotte Minty gives a great insight into the life and times of an interior designer. As well as inspirational photos there are visuals of her own past and present interior projects.

8. French By Design
French girl Si, is a self confessed vintage and design addict. Her blog has a good balance of text and pictures. It’s cute and very user friendly.

9. The Inspired Room
Mainly pictoral, using wonderful photography to showcase great interiors. This blog totally lives up to its name.

10. Confession of a Design Geek
Awarded 2010 ‘Best Interior Design Blog in Great Britain’. This blog has it all; interviews, articles and reviews. Blogger Katie even has her own book under this title. As well as this blog she also writes for LivingEtc and Design Milk and other well-known publications.

Hmm it appears like your website ate my first comment (it was super long)
so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.

I too am an aspiring blog writer but I’m still new
to the whole thing. Do you have any points for first-time blog writers?
    I’d definitely appreciate it.
