It was a family affair as Petra Bagust opened the studio gallery of her artist mother, Judi Bagust and Atrium Artworks co-founder, artist and ceramicist Nikki Bath, whose daughter Suzannah Bath also exhibited her handmade jewellery.
The first exhibition at Judi Bagust and Nikki Bath’s new studio,Atrium Artworks opened in the heart of Devonport on Thursday 22nd April with a packed crowd viewing the oil paintings, ceramics and handmade jewellery.
Oil paintings of New Zealand landscapes and non-representational works by Judi and Nikki exhibited alongside ceramic urns by Nikki and contemporary jewellery by Nikki’s daughter, Suzannah Bath.
Judi Bagust welcomed guests and spoke on how it had been a passion for both her and Nikki Bath to have a studio for many years and they were so excited to see it come to fruition. Judi declared the gallery open to a round of applause.
Petra gave a lovely speech in honour of her mother.
