Street artist Hazer went 3D this week at the Mountain Dew launch event ‘Beyond the Wall’ – and the public can win Converse sneakers each week by creating their own 3D street art…
The launch held at Victoria Park Market on Wednesday 17th October saw renowned New Zealand graffiti artist Kairau ‘Haser’ Bradley from TMD crew create a massive 3D sculpture using motion capture technology as used in the film and animation industry, with infra-red cameras tracking Haser’s movements as he created his three-dimensional piece of street art.
The event announced the release of a new Mountain Dew flavour – Passionfruit Frenzy – and fans can get involved in the project at home, utilising the technology used in Haser’s project, recreated online. The public can have a go and then place their piece of 3D street art anywhere in the world on Google Street view. A $20,000 cash prize is up for grabs for the best piece of 3D street art created on the website, and five finalists each week will receive a pair of Classic Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers.
