Fashion loves makeup as much as it loves rock n roll and models. Top German makeup brand ARTDECO collaborates with international designers in its series of Beauty Meets Fashion collections. Here, we take a look at ARTDECO cosmetics’ colourful collaboration with Spanish-born fashion designer Emilio de la Morena. Morena, who studied fashion at Central Saint Martins and the London College of Fashion, has a chic and sexy aesthetic and designs for a contemporary woman. He teams colour with designs that evoke a playful sexuality, and in recent collections, drawn upon the influence of the Eighties. The colour blocking forms are seen on the packaging of the new ARTDECO makeup range, inspired by the incredible Swiss architect and artist Max Bill, in particular Bill’s ‘graphic series’ paintings from 1932, seen in the makeup’s bold swathes of corals, pinks and blues in pastels and brights.
