Mascara seems to be one of the most problematic areas I keep hearing women mention with their makeup sensitivities. Increasingly they are turning to safer and low allergenic options in the pursuit of the perfect skincare – and makeup. No-one wants to sacrifice looking great for the risk of having weepy red eyes! This mascara could be a godsend for these women. The Kerikeri-based safe skincare and beauty company Living Nature now offers a fragrance-free top quality thickening mascara that is even safer and more widely suitable for use, from the popular certified natural skincare company that was founded in 1987 by Suzanne Hall, when she was inspired by the healing properties of New Zealand native plants.
This Thickening Mascara contains beeswax, carnauba wax, jojoba, manuka honey, grapefruit seed extract, Vitamin E and manuka oil as well as kaolin (halloysite) clay to thicken lashes for impact without clumping, and without the need for harmful chemicals. Now it is fragrance-free, meaning even more people can enjoy using it whilst minimising any irritation from fragrance. As with all Living Nature products, it is certified natural by the BDIH governing body of Germany, is cruelty-free from animal testing, and is free from synthetic ingredients.
To use: apply with long sweeping strokes to the eyelashes. Allow to dry and apply second coat if more volume is desired. Removes easily with Gentle Makeup Remover.
Thickening Mascara comes in a choice of two shades: Jet Black (pictured here) and Blackened Brown, retailing for $41 each from stockists nationwide and at their website www.livingnature.com
