M·A·C colab with South American style blogger, Julia Petit

The TV presenter, Brazilian IT girl and model Julia Petit is not only an incredibly famous and popular lifestyle blogger, she now has her own MAC line. In the new M·A·C collaboration, Julia showcases the “exotic women and fantastical urban landscape of São Paulo into sun-kissed hues primed to release your inner Brazilian bombshell”. On Instagram her handle is @peitsco and she has 343,000 followers. She posted this MAC collection two months ago on there, and had 15,500 likes on it – she is MASSIVE on social media.

I photographed the new M·A·C colab with South American style blogger, Julia Petit against tropical flowers from my own garden to reflect the exotic nature of South America and the beauty of the colours in this range. I also adore the campaign imagery, below, of Julia (age 42) in a floral lace dress looking HOT.

The products are in the classic glossy plastic MAC cases but with JULIA PETIT and her signature emblazoned upon the lids and in gold on the black lipstick bullet cases.

EYESHADOW $65 duos

There are three colour options of eyeshadow duo compacts; the Moving Sand Eye Shadow pictured here has Mumu, a soft nude brown matte, and Noite, a black with pearl lustre – which is absolutely gorgeous – and a versatile duo to boot, as the brown can be used as an eyebrow colour or an eyeshadow and the black as a liner used wet, or a shimmery shade used dry on the lid. The other two eyeshadow duo options available are Morganite Eye Shadow, with Sunstoned – a soft pink champagne, and Choco Cake dark chocolate; and Sagu Eye Shadow, with Druzy, a dirty mauvy purple, and Black Plum, a deep blackened plum matte.

LIPSTICKS $44

These two lipsticks pictured are the bolder two of the three in the collection; the other is Boca, a soft pink nude satin. Photographed below are Acai, a vivid deep violet matte which I would term a berry (hence the acai berry name) and Petite Red (named for her surname) which is described as a strawberry cream satin, and I would call a raspberry pink-red.

POWDER BLUSH $52

Ooh, this is pretty. This Powder Blush is named Linda and it is a real supermodel of a blush indeed. A peachy soft pink bronze with faint golden reflects ever so subtly in it, but without shimmer, this is a beautiful and not too brassy blush.
