The big news from Elizabeth Arden this year is the quarter-century anniversary of its iconic Ceramide Capsules. They were began in 1990 when their researchers developed bio-engineered skin identical Ceramides, which are the essential lipids found in the skin’s barrier layer and the first line of defence against ageing. Flawless Finish Perfectly Satin 24HR is such a divine foundation. I would recommend this to people over 30, who want a softly matte finish without shine – and for it last a full day at work and beyond. It lasts really well – not that I would wear foundation for 24 hours as it says on the tin, of course – but I had it on for twelve hours very successfully. It blurs imperfections with mineral crystal Mica, and comes in ten shades from the palest, Soft Shell, through to the darkest, Caramel. Elizabeth Arden’s Glovbal Makeup Artist, Rebecca Restrepo, says “This foundation has a beautiful texture – it mattifies just enough to take away oiliness, but still leaves one perfected rather than masked…it is ideal for enhancing skin with full coverage and oil-control but still a light, not heavily made up finish.” Flawless Finish retails for $69.
Beautiful Color Moisturizing Lipsticks are the answer to the eternal lipstick dilemma: “matte or moisture?” with a formula that moisturisers lips while retaining a velvety matte texture. I know! It seems impossible. The pigment-rich lip colour gives a rich, matte colour whilst moisturising mango, shea and murumuru butters hydrate lips and Argan oil and Vitamin E contribute antioxidants.
