Cybele Wiren opened her first ever boutique today, Tuesday 1st March, at 62 Ponsonby Road.

The small character shop can display the entire range of her AW11 Nieriya collection, one of which the designer wears, pictured left.

She celebrated with friends, customers and media with a party that spilled onto the footpath, with a bar in the Wunderkrammer loading bay next door making Thomson whisky old-fashioneds.

Guests hit the shop running, and the tills were ringing on the very first night.

“The store is about creating a uniquely ‘us’ space where the emphasis is on the brand and our aesthetic,” says Cybèle

“This is something I’ve always wanted to do,” says the designer. “For years people have been asking me why I don’t have my own store and now just feels like the right time. I’m ready for a change and a new challenge!”
