Veronica B isn’t actually a person. It’s a jewellery and accessories label from young designer Chantelle Allonby in conjunction with the experience of Maureen Bell, head of manufacturing company Cynch for over 30 years. Chantelle had been working for Maureen for four years before they began the exciting new venture in design.
The label Veronica B is a fashion-forward, youthful brand, with a fun collection of colourful bags, shorts, and costume jewellery. I have been wearing my Veronica B metal chain necklace with a pointy end which I was given for being one of the 100 well-dressed people they spotted at NZ Fashion Week this year (not sure I deserved that title but I wasn’t going to say no to a cool necklace!)
It launched in April 2012 with an online store showcasing the bags and accessories. Prices start at $30 for a real leather studded cuff. Clutches are $165, Pony Fur Tote $250, High-waisted leather shorts $250, and a Double tiered spike chain $130.
You can check out their designs at www.veronicab.com or on Facebook at the Veronica B page.
