Those who visit Australia to shop will be rapt to find that the fabulously-popular women’s fashion label GORMAN has come this side of the ditch. GORMAN threw an opening party on April 4th at their first NZ boutique, in Nuffield Street.

It’s taken over the space that was previously Trelise Kids now that Trelise Cooper has closed that brand (and opened her Boardroom suiting label) at 25 Nuffield Street in Newmarket.

GORMAN is designed by Australian Lisa Gorman who launched in 1999 in Melbourne, and since then it has grown to have 16 GORMAN stores across Australia, shown at Melbourne Fashion Festivals and Australian Fashion Weeks. Until now, it has wholesaled to a few boutiques in NZ, so this will be the first time that many New Zealand fashion-lovers meet the brand.

The Newmarket boutique launches with AW12, inspired by adventurers and dreamers, with an earthy palette of henna, forest green, sky blue and merlot.

The highlight for Thread was the delicious prints, in geometric and jungle themes.

Gorgeous knitwear for winter.

The store has been re-fitted with stunning light fittings, and copper pipes as rails across the walls and their signature bicycles which are for sale, are mounted on the wall.

Visit Gorman at 5/25 Nuffield Street Auckland, and online at www.gormanshop.com.au
