After the show there was the best goodie bag ever with all guests invited to go shopping for free and select anything off the shelves to take home with them.

42 Below staff poured vodka cocktails with a Kiwi twist, complementing the delicious lamb – appropriately – and tea-smoked salmon canapes. Guests included AIRNZ’s Rob Fyfe, Icebreaker Chairman, CEO and staff, and fashion media and friends of Icebreaker.

Icebreaker now buys about 20% of New Zealand’s wool offering farmers multiyear contracts at guaranteed prices providing they produce a uniformly high quality wool. Each garment comes with a baacode, traceable back to the station the wool came from. Each sheep produces about five garments.

In 2010 Icebreaker is offering a natural alternative to petroleum-based outdoor clothing, called Realfleece, made sustainably from merino.
