Bing, Harris & Co. have launched womenswear into stores this week with Summer 2013/14. They describe it as loose-fitting separates through to timeless denim, in monochrome and graphic prints that are always of style and substance, to layer and wear all year round. Bing, Harris & Co women’s wear is available in its six stores across New Zealand (Albany, High Street, and Sylvia Park all in Auckland; Hamilton, Queensgate Wellington, and Riccarton Christchurch) and its Australian stores. It will be available online from this Friday 6th December too at www.bingharris.com

This is a fun idea if you’re in a gift-rut and stuck for ideas. Farmers has developed an app called the ‘Farmers Gift Globe’ on the Farmers Facebook page. It’s really simple to use; you type in the price, the gender and age of the recipient and hey presto, Farmers Gift Globe offers up ideas. I did it for myself and it came up with coloured tin bakeware (but I forgave it as it doesn’t know me), Modelco Instant Tan, and a sarong in a bag. Very cute.

Moochi are having a pre-Christmas sale that starts this Thursday 5th December over this weekend. There are samples, seconds and ends of line all priced to clear, at Gudgeon Street off College Hill in Ponsonby.

Zoe & Morgan have released their beautiful new New Zealand-designed handmade jewellery collection, Map of an Invisible World. The range is inspired by stars and humanity’s relationship to these heavenly bodies, especially to guide our way. Visit their Auckland showroom at City Works Depot 6B, 90 Wellesley Street or online at www.zoeandmorgan.com

Now it’s summer, it’s summer music festival season, and nothing is more perfect than rocker jeans. Calvin Klein Jeans on High Street has its summer 2014 collection instore with the launch of its RCKR KICK flared jeans with a skinny leg and a higher waist.

Ingrid Starnes has gone into natural beauty products with an all-natural new EDT perfume launching in early December and this divine scented soap wrapped in her signature paper print. Shop Ingrid Starnes at Herne Bay, Newmarket, and online at www.ingridstarnes.com

BONDS tees are available in New Zealand for the first time on their new online ecommerce site which has launched with their iconic basics that are a wardrobe essential. www.bonds.com.au/nz

Bendon have launched GIFT FOR GIFT, an initiative in hand with New Zealand-based global organisation, International Volunteer HQ (IVHQ), to distribute underwear to Kenyan communities in need. Every $50 Bendon gift voucher purchased means an African community will receive an every-day basic need; underwear. Bendon CEO Justin Davis-Rice has pledged to gift a minimum of $130,000 worth of underwear to communities in Kenya, to be distributed in early 2014.
