Moscow Mules greeted us at Snapdragon as we walked through the door to kick off the Russian-themed evening for media and friends to view the Chaos and Harmony Autumn Winter 2011 range, No Code…

Tuesday night found us at the superb Snapdragon in the Viaduct, finding our way through the many rooms and bars to the ‘Games Room’ tucked away upstairs. The décor was such a perfect fit with its matte back interior with a mix of the old and grand, modern and slick.

Chris Lorimer of Ciel PR was there to welcome us and there were Moscow Mules as we walked through the door to kick off the Russian-themed evening for media and friends to view the Autumn Winter 2011 range entitled No Code.

We got to have a great chat with Renee Ryland and Rebecca Anderson, the two very talented women behind Chaos & Harmony, about their inspirations for this winter’s collection.

Their background is in interior design, having previously owned the very successful Urban Lounge in Tauranga. We weren’t surprised to learn this, as it is very obvious from their current collection that they love texture and fabrics.

Our favourite look is the velvet, with a strappy evening sandal in navy velvet (which we hear is nearly sold out already), and a gorgeous court shoe with a wedge heel that comes in a black and a stunning dark gold.

Mixed in with this are suede boots with a perforated design -more texture- and ankle boots with subtle organic texture printed in grey over the black leather. Tassels and laces feature strongly. We also particularly liked the grey high ankle boot with the orange striped ribbon lace.
