In one of the coolest art and fashion concepts I’ve seen in a while, Roanne Jacobson of Saben held an exhibition of ‘Portraits of Style’ of people with her bags.

The launch event coincided with the opening of her Saben store in the new Ponsonby Central retail and hopitality complex on the corner of Ponsonby and Richmond Roads, on Tuesday 20th November.

To make it interactive and to put all the guests in the picture, Saben had us all framed in a suspended picture frame whilst holding the Saben bag of our choice. Pictured left: Saben’s Roanne and Thread’s Megan Robinson get framed.

Personalities in the Saben Portraits of Style photos included Stuff.co.nz blogger Bronwyn Williams, Foureyes bloggers Alex Blanco and Mino Kim, Coup de Main blogger Sacha Young, Sweet Mix kids DJ Sandon James, Isakelle boutique’s Kelle Skelton and Katie Skelton, Baz*ar The Empire’s Nardine Kelly, beauty blogger Erica Kent and 2 year old daughter Poet who has a Saben bag named after her, and fashion stylist Kylie Cooke.
