The world’s first Cure Shop opened today at Glassons with a whole lot of pink – in champagne, cranberry juice, Petal cupcakes – and of course in the myriad of pink accessories on display.

The launch of Cure Shop is an initiative from Glassons and the Breast Cancer Research Trust dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer by raising funds through the sale of designer items especially designed for this purpose. This builds on the popular BCRT tee-shirts of the past few years which have raised millions of dollars.

As well as instore at each of New Zealand’s 35 Glassons stores, items are for sale online on their website www.glassons.com/cure-shop

This year’s fashion collaboration includes a tee-shirt and a couple of other items from leading NZ designers Karen Walker, Trelise Cooper, Zambesi, Huffer, Twenty-Seven Names, Ruby and Cybele.

Below: Longtime supporters Carol Hirschfeld and Jaquie Brown, with Jaquie’s 7 month old handsome baby boy, Leo.

An excellen turn-out for 8 o’clock in the morning – and there was a crowd of the public waiting for the doors to opem at 9am, too!

Take a bow: the Cure Shop assistants wearing the variety of designer tee-shirts for sale, all at $29.95.

Cure Shop isn’t ALL pink; in fact Zambesi candles are pure black ($24.95).
