The fashion crowd was all in attendance at the Showroom 22 media day, attending a runway show at the fashion PR suite in Auckland city yesterday launching the Spring Summer 10/11 collections of all their designers.
As Showroom 22’s Murray Bevan said when he welcomed guests, this show followed on from the success of last year’s inaugural Showroom 22 catwalk show. That first show presented Winter 2010 which had already been seen on the NZ Fashion Week runways, so this Spring Summer 10/11 show was unique in that it hadn’t yet been seen by the fashion media on the catwalk.
Labels included Juliette Hogan, Karen Walker Eyewear and Jewellery, Salasai, Sera Lilly, Sherie Muijs, twenty-seven names, Charmaine Reveley, Fabric, Gibson, Glassons, adidas Originals, adidas by Stella McCartney, Beth Ellery, Camille Howie, Bettina Liano, Fabric, Ingrid Starnes, Kathryn Wilson, Ksubi Eyewear and Optical, and Le Specs.

Orchid-adorned goody bags were the biggest we’ve ever seen – with the SS10/11 lookbooks inside along with treats such as Le Specs sunglasses, Bendon knickers, Gin Wigmore CD, luxury samples of Prevage Face and Juicy Couture perfume, and a cool "I heart your mum" gameboard from Gibson.
