Making it work from Taranaki to Project Runway

We always love hearing about New Zealand designers doing well internationally, so it was great excitement I read about Sean Kelly from Taranaki taking part in the new season of Project Runway! Season 13 begins today, October 2, on Vibe on IGLOO.

The new season brings back the hosting duo of Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum, along with celebrity judges who this year include Julie Bowen, Elisabeth Moss, Olympian Lindsey Vonn (sounds like a sportswear challenge there), fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni, and Dita Von Teese (I hope this is a burlesque challenge.)

But the highlight for me will be seeing how Kiwi designer, Sean Kelly, goes. He is of course the first-ever New Zealander to compete in the reality TV show that sees contestants create garments under a strict time pressure to a theme each episode. You can join and watch him compete on Thursdays 9:30pm from 2 October on VIBE.
