New York-based photographer and home interiors blogger Todd Selby – known as ‘The Selby’ – was brought for a book-signing appearance and slideshow at The Department Store on Thursday 24 February.
TDS brought Todd to nz because their aim is "to bring the best from the world of creativity, both locally and internationally, to your doorstep."
Selby runs an extremely popular and influential interiors style blog www.theselby.com.
Guests watched a presentation on the book’s images and stories behind the photos from Todd Selby, held on the top floor in the Stephen Marr salon.
They then queued to buy the book for $70 and received not only a personal signing – and often illustration – by Todd Selby but a goody bag containing $150 worth of $30 – $50 value discount vouchers for The Department Store brands Stephen Marr, Karen Walker, Black Box, Top Shop and Top Man.

There may be trouble with book sellers in New Zealand trying to move books, but there was no problem moving these bad boys; guests lined up for book signings.

The Department Store exterior lit up at night as guests no doubt contemplated hitting it the next morning with their vouchers in hand and inspiration in mind from reading their new book, The Selby.
