Stripes, sequins and lace have landed from High Street London into Karen Walker in Wellington.

After The Department Store in Takapuna added the Topshop collection to their store a few months ago, Karen Walker in Wellington has now unleashed the range for Wellingtonians to add to their wardrobes.

A long queue of shoppers lined up outside Karen Walker this Saturday morning to view the new range. The store was humming with excitement. Karen Walker was on hand to give support to the staff and shoppers as the range literally flew off the racks.

The colour palette appeared autumn based, evident of the season in the UK at the moment. Lots of burnt orange, apricot, salmon pink, cream and brown – an instant lift to the usual black gracing the capital’s streets.

Shoes, jeans and jackets were popular with shoppers.

Asking shoppers what their favourite items were, more than one replied “sequin jackets and tops”. Checking the fabric and sewing, the sequins look to be sewn on well, sometimes this can be an area that shoppers find lacking.

Every Tuesday a new drop of Topshop stock will be added to the store. Get in quick.

The Karen Walker Wellington store can be found at 126 Wakefield Street, Wellington.
