Forget trainers, heels were the shoe to wear in the running today as fashion editors and writers sprinted in their heels down Teed Street to kick off the 30 Days of Fashion & Beauty month around the country.
There were some pretty competitive women in the pack but Crystal from ACP shot out in front to win her prize of a bag of perfumes and a bottle of Moet. Thread came sixth but only due to wearing some fairly practical heeled boots- not stilettoes!
Appropriately set in Newmarket as Auckland’s epicentre of retail therapy, the champagne launch brunch today took place at the 30 Days pop-up shop at 240 Broadway, with two giant stilettos big enough to climb inside.
The public are welcome to attend many of the pop-up shops free events over the next few days.
The pop-up shop is open until September 10 with different treats each day, including free blow waves, free mini make-overs and goody bags. On Monday it hosts “The Great Frock Swap” where women can swap a frock rather than shop.
Check out the month’s activities at www.30daysoffashionandbeauty.co.nz and we’ll bring you the latest here on Thread.co.nz from around the country.
