White Shirt Day, 18th May 2011.
You won’t get shirty about this….
Fashion and beauty brands Witchery and L’Oreal joined forces last night to launch a fundraising campaign raising awareness and funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).
The launch of ‘White Shirt Day’ was held last night in the Nuffield Street Witchery Store in Newmarket, Auckland to a group of media and other guests.
A showcase of the stylish white shirts are available for a limited time with 100% of proceeds going to the OCRF.
The shirts have been designed by Witchery in four styles; sleeveless tie-front, oversized, lace front and plain shirt style with prices ranging from $119 to $179, as well as a large tote bag. Also, three men’s options are available from Witcheryman.
The fundraising shirts are on sale until stock runs out and they have been hot off the shelves so best you get into a Witchery store soon.
Also available as part of the campaign is a range of beautiful silver jewellery; earrings, bracelets and necklaces which would look great with that new white shirt! With a purchase of any these pieces, $5 goes to the OCRF.
Last night’s event was also a chance for L’Oreal to reveal two new products.
Firstly their new Lash Architect 4D Mascara, which contains 4mm long false lash fibres and secondly a long-lasting, Infallible Le Rouge 10-hour lipstick that was being worn by the models.
Available in 18 vibrant shades this lipstick promises to stay on for up to 10 hours.
L’Oreal has been a supporter of OCRF since 2007 and will also be giving $5 from every Lash Architect 4D Mascara sale over June and July 2011.

White Shirt Day will be an annual campaign held every 18th May. The statistics for ovarian cancer are scary; in Australia alone the stats show that one woman dies every ten hours from the disease. Fundraising will go towards advancing research into early detection tests.
