What a busy week it has been in the Fashion World – though it appears we saved the best for last.

It is said if you admire a designer, then you wear their clothes to their show – then tonight there was a whole lot of admiration going on.

For those of us that know Zambesi’s vast back catalogue it was apparent that there was a huge collection of vintage Zambesi being worn tonight; plenty of silk georgette with delicate beading, masses of draping, and black. The interesting thing was there was simply no way of telling what was current season, and what was ten or twenty years old. That is why Zambesi is so beloved – the pieces are timeless and simple.

With Gareth Pugh, Nom*D and Rick Owens thrown in for good measure, it was one well-dressed room.

The other thing about Zambesi is how anti-ageist the label is. I spotted the same dress on two different women – one younger, one older – and they both looked fabulous. Just worn differently. That is one of their great strengths.

Long may they continue to reign. Long Live Zambesi.
