We attended the iD International Emerging Designer Awards 2012 (www.idfashion.co.nz) held at Lion Foundation Arena in the Edgar Centre, Dunedin on Thursday 29th March.
We were totally impressed with the whole production from both front of stage, and back. In particular, the professionalism of the PR team who put on a myriad of events – both ticketed and free to the public (read: fashion school students), which was nice – and were fast to reply to my emails in the midst of all of it, with pateince and grace. Good work, Merrin and your team.

Above left: I like this photos of a model in her own clothes but with her hair and make-up done, on her phone, because it’s often about the waiting. And more waiting.
Below: A pressing problem to get ironed out.
Designs try to relax before the big – possibly career changing – event.
Garments in order on hangers await their turn in the spotlight.
Shoes customised and named.
Run sheets with models’ garments.
Models in outfits by Australian designer, Natalia Grzybowski.
Make-up with Ali McD Models.
The stage is set. Let the Awards begin.
The audience takes its seats and excitedly looks through goody bags.
