Off the back of the hugely successful ‘Frocktails’ event in 2009, fashion and design will come together once again at Auckland’s Relais & Chateaux hotel, Mollies, on Saturday 1st May to help raise much-needed funds for the Auckland City Mission.
Local interior and fashion designers will transform the Mollies suites into six different worlds, based on the concept ‘A World We Dream To Live In’ – from Sera Lilly’s ‘Alice In Wonderland’ themed room to Kingan Jones’ ‘Glam Rock’, guests will be invited to explore the worlds while enjoying drinks and canapés.
Mollies General Manager Joanna Bourke wants guests to be able to step out of their daily lives and be absorbed by the fantasy of the evening.
“It’s about becoming who you wish you were, or who you can become. We encourage those with a different vision of their world to dress the part and drift through their dreams at Mollies,” says Bourke.
This exclusive event will be MC’d by two of New Zealand’s rising stars of TV and film, Samantha Hayes and Antonia Prebble.
And like any great fashion outfit, what evening is complete without accessories? Live music and top DJ’s will provide the soundtrack for the evening, and the Frocktails feature designers will entertain guests with an in-season fashion show
styled by Dan Ahwa with make-up by Smashbox and hair by Blaze salon. Top fashion photographer Russ Flatt will be there to capture the style on show.
Frocktails partners include World, Trove Design, Kingan Jones, Sera Lilly, Stitch Ministry, Cybele, Michael Pattison, Mana Dave and Blaze Hair Newmarket, BMW, Smashbox, Dan Ahwa, Russ Flatt, Fiji Water, Henry Glucina, Jack Bourke and The Carpenters Daughter.
Tickets are available from www.mollies.co.nz for $100 – a portion of which will be donated to the Auckland City Mission. Can’t make it along to the event? Donations can be made at www.mollies.co.nz
