A Japanese-influenced collection entitled Haiku debuted on Wednesday 16 March at Wagamama with the first winter range from Brady, designed by Sable & Minx’s Teresa Brady and Rebecca Batley-Alder.
Guests mingled in the space adjacent to Wagamama Metro in Auckland’s High Street over a glass of Sisters Ridge wines and Wagamama snacks before the short and sharp catwalk show.
Hooker-heels in candy shades and grey knee-high socks accessorised the clothes. Hair was sleeked down into low ponytails and braids at the nape of the neck.
Adrian Hailwood designed the print for the tee-shirt design in caramel tones of a woman’s face and floral illustration.
Below: A mustard silk flowing dress with the drapery evident in many of the pieces. Jackets were softly structured with peplum waists and short skirts. It was a fluid rather than a hard-edged collection overall.
Owner and co-designer of Brady, Teresa Brady in a black and white dress, watches the models walk out in the finale as the DJ spins tracks beside her.
