It was cold outside but HOT inside, as Kathryn Wilson revealed her new swimwear range alongside the new summer 2012 footwear collection, at a catwalk show at Queenstown Hilton at Clicquot in the Snow…
Kathryn Wilson – one of the darlings of New Zealand fashion who is a breath of fresh air with her hard-working yet humble attitude and a smile for everybody – is a Veuve Clicquot Ambassador and a prefect fit for the glamorous Champagne brand.
She welcomed everyone to the show, where guests had bought $75 tickets to see the collection and drink Champagne and eat canapes prepared by The Hilton Queenstown chefs.
Hair was pulled up into hair extension ponytails in what d&m salon’s Danny Pato playfully termed "a fembot look." Make-up was by a local team from Hush. Models were accessorised with cuffs by Diva jewellery and yellow Veuve Clicquot gear including towels, umbrellas, sunglasses, and even a snowboard.
The swimwear was designed in collaboration with NZ swimwear designer Emma Ford and provides the ideal sexy apparel to model shoes in. In the past, Kathryn has used lingerie labels including Bendon to accompany her footwear shows. Read about her 2011 show (using luxury lingerie and inspired by Kim Bassinger in 9 1/2 Weeks) on Thread.co.nz here.
The swimwear collection was based around two styles: one pieces and a triangle bikini with gold chain detailing, in either plain colours, or a chain print.
