Kermadec has returned to its tradition of fine dining with room-with-a-view, Kermadec Fine. Aptly, this was the location for many a fine spring look, at the Blomfield PR SS12 Show…

Kermadec Fine
A glass of Moet is always a nice way to start the afternoon. Couple that with a spectacular view from the new Kermadec Fine restaurant space overlooking the Viaduct, and whole lot of summer garments and it makes for a excellent time.
With Colin Mathura-Jeffree head to toe in his favourite MisteR suit, and Hannah McArdle from Aych blog with lilac hair and dark pink Deadly Ponies handbag and Ruby nails, even the front row was looking colourful. Colour was definitely the word of the day (as well as floral) and barely a black garment graced the catwalk.
Ooby Ryn (an anagram of designer Robyn Brooks’ name) marched things off to a good start with her pretty blue spotted Kirsty Dress. We liked the peplum-ed Peppah Skirt and Peppah Jacket and the on-trend Fruitalicious Dress.

The MisterR team of Mickey Lin and Ra Thomson brought us more of their whimsical, colourful take on summer with the sweet Lindy Hop Dress and the Salsa Crossover bowtie collar (their trademark) and the bright coloured Jive Cardy with its heart elbow patches on the sleeve. Their eye for detail, and confidence with patterns is so evident with their menswear, especially the Waltz waistcoat with its floral back detail, and the Salsa shirt with its tight bright floral.
Other highlights of the day were the Analei Circle Dress in bright yellow and black by MENA. As were their Brooke Trousers; we are beginning to see plenty of brightly patterned, slim-leg pants coming, and these were one of the best.
Egoist had the best men’s footwear with their pop coloured laceup shoes with great names like Vivid and Splendid.
Sheryl May finished with her very easy-to-wear silk shifts with Grecian-inspired screen prints. We loved the colourful Bloom With A View Dress covered in Hydrangeas and the ink blue silk Venus Dress.
