Taylor showed its AW13 collection at Wellington Fashion Week in the Group Collections Showcase on Thursday 4th April.

Other labels in the showcase included Trelise Cooper, moochi, twoWORLDS, STORM, Sabatini at Goodness, and Mondegreen.

It was a collection strong in monochrome with flashes of bright red. Textures ranged from winter-weight woven wool jackets and shaggy warm knits to their sleek leather fingerless sleeves – my personal favourite item.

What stood out for us was the excellent use of layering – they really know how to do layering well. This is perfect for New Zealand’s famous weather patterns of four seasons in one day – just peel off one of your layers and you’re suited and booted.
