Mi Piaci launched their AW13 footwear collection at the historic Highwic House in Newmarket – complete with a pianist in the lounge. It was defeinitely the most elegant event of the week, having champagne to classical music as we looked at shoes displayed on antique furniture.
Sarah (brunette) wore shoes from the Dark Romance AW13 story which draws on historial Edwardian dressing and Baroque influences. Burgundy is the strongest colour here, with purples and flashes of red (what a contrast to last season’s pale pastels.) Shoes are studded with hardware for a tough attitude.
Lara (blonde) from the Country Folk story, which is all about Lady of the Manor classic styling with a relaxed gypsy feel. Other key trends include Oriental Express and Hello Sailor.
