They say ‘you are only as good as your last job, and this put a little added pressure on Nom*d as they have put on such an incredible show at last year’s Marr Factory show. Read about Nom*d at Marr Fcatory 2012 on Thread here.
But, without surprises, Designer Margarita Robertson and her team nailed this year’s show – from styling down to the very last detail of the show.
Makeup was created by MAC drawing inspiration from mid-century modern geishas in Japan, to complement the silk fan prints on Nom*d’s Summer 2013/14 collection. Hair was styled in loose top knots above the head by Lauren Gunn and team from Stephen Marr.

It was such a treat to watch a ‘mini fashion movie’ as we waited for the show to start – deconstructing Nom*d pieces seems so wrong yet so right!
The collection had a Japanice tinge (see what I did there?) with the cherry blossom prints and the Geisha-inspired hair and make-up. And to balance things out, geometric-printed pieces walked down the runway.
And, a personal favourite detail from it all – mismatched socks on the models. Bonus points for giving each guest a pair of socks in the goody bag too!
