Aucklanders lined up to see the performers and fashion that makes Auckland Cup Week Parade.
It couldn’t have been a more perfect day for the Auckland Cup Week Parade. Aucklanders of all ages filled Broadway in Newmarket, awaiting the much anticipated parade to begin.
The Auckland Cup week parade takes place in Newmarket every year. In its fifth year running, 2010 was certainly bigger, brighter and bolder.
The sound of bagpipes filled the air as the marching band headed the parade. The Auckland Cup followed next, held between two beautiful girls dressed in striking red dresses. The Stella Artois Cup Race will be held on the 10th of March, for those of you wanting to experience the action of Auckland Cup Week at Ellerslie Racecourse .

The fashion floats were all provided by various 277 fashion stores. It is great to see that PJs can be worn during the day, thanks to Peter Alexander.
