Remember this? It was a trip down memory lane for brides past, at the Wingatui Wedding Exhibition as the fashion parade began showing bridal dresses from past to the present. The parade albeit quick was a bit of fun for everyone…
Wingatui Wedding Exhibition
Recently I had the opportunity to attend the Wedding Exhibition organised by Beverley West of Twilight Entertainments.
I took my bridesmaid along and what a beautiful day it was out on the Taieri. Guests were warmly welcomed at the door and were able to peruse different vendors’ exhibits.
A smaller scale show to other shows, Wingatui Wedding Exhibition is in its tenth year. Bev feels her point of difference is the show is a wedding exhibition and not a trade show. I found the vendors were able to spend more time with brides-to-be and the show had a friendly atmosphere.
Disappointingly only one bridal shop was at the exhibition; 4 Ever After Bridal of Invercargill. Other vendors present included many photographers, Twilight Entertainments, a cake maker, florist, makeup artists and happily for myself the travel agency whom I want to set up my honeymoon registry with.
At 1pm the fashion parade began showing bridal dresses from past to the present. The parade – albeit quick – was a bit of fun for everyone. I left the exhibition hoping next year it grows in size with vendors taking advantage of the realistic exhibition fees and a pleasant and experienced organiser to work with.
