Below: our photos from Juliette Hogan.
First up, let’s look at the hair and accessories that styled the show.
Beauty by MAC featured a fresh and youthful spring face with beautiful skin, peachy cheeks and glossy lips. Eyes were softly shaded in browns, and completely lined in eyeliner. Brows were pretty and natural.
Hair by Stephen Marr was a real highlight for me, with its sharp side parting slicked back to the nape of the neck in a slightly back-combed long twist. A perfect combination of done and undone; as though her up-do had become unravelled after a day of hijinks on the yacht.
The chain gang: white metal link necklaces added a very understated, minimalist touch o’ the bling.
Visors for that yacht-chic look.
Secondly, the clothes themselves. J-Ho always brings a contemporary femininity and this collection was no different. When I think of Juliette Hogan, I think of a) pleats, b) dirty pastel shades, c) signature floral prints that will be de riguer come high summer, and d) a pretty strong love of collars. These were all in evidence this season, showing that Hogan is honing her strengths as a designer and has developed a key look in a relatively short career.
Key trend: polkadots
Key trend: ballet length
Key Trend: jungle
Key Trend: 90s flashback with paisley devore velvet.
Key Trend: Leg o’ mutton (sleeves, that is – not mutton dressed as lamb)
Key Trend: Late eighties silhouettes with a silk pencil skirt.
The finale of ‘Yacht Rockers’, met by applause.
