Lucy McIntosh AW15 show at NZFW

Lucy McIntosh AW15 ‘Archy’

I absolutely loved this show. Both labels in the joint show – where Lucy McIntosh presented before Pardon My French, which was also fantastic – far exceeded my expectations, and I would wear the entire ranges.

This Autumn Winter 2015 collection, Archy, is named after British musician King Krule aka Archy who uses a fusion style in his music; a vision that Lucy has extended in her fashion design, as she describes her style as punk with a refined modern edge.

I particularly was taken with the cross-your-heart black or white tops with a sheer midriff and lined bust. Also deserving special mention is the amazing leather jackets – who else makes leather jackets?! – which were immaculate and fitted perfectly and looked glam-yet-rock n’ roll at the same time. This must be the fusion thing she is on about, eh? I think women who work in offices who want something a bit different and still elegant, should be all over this range like gold foil on a sheer top (yes, that’s in there, too.) It shows that she worked with Alexandra Owen after graduating her Bachelor in Design in Fashion and she cuts beautifully. You can buy her label at boutiques as well as online at lucymcintosh.co.nz

The show was styled beautifully by Chris Lorimer of Ciel PR, with hair by Sara Allsop, and makeup by Samantha Holley for MAC.
