Fashion media reached new heights with Skechers as a group of us did the Auckland Harbour Bridge climb on Tuesday 30 July wearing our new Skechers GO Walks, with Mango PR.

First we viewed the new collections with Devon Taylor of Accent Group at the Skechers showroom. The thing that strikes me about Skechers is that there really is something for everyone. They sell an astonishing large number of product lines from the very young to the old. Who is their customer? Everyone from children in light-ups, teens in wedge sneakers, Mums in GO Walks, Dads at BBQs in men’s casuals, men at the gym in sneakers, through to grandparents in the lace up and slip on men’s and women’s styles that are light and comfortable to wear. Devon told us some styles are so well loved, they can’t discontinue them as they get letters of complaint! People just love their Skechers and are loyal to the brand.

Lucky me! My very own pair of Skechers.

My light-as-air grey GO Walk Skechers.

Below: dressed in our onesies and about to head off on the Auckland Harbour Bridge climb. We don safety helmuts and belts that clip onto a wire along the entire climb. We are literally birds on a wire.

Below: Suited and booted for the climb.

Below: A bungy jumper leaps from the Auckland Harbour Bridge while we are on it. Our guide Britt stops a few times to tell us facts about the bridge construction and the clip-ons and how they move up and down, and the original bridge moves back and forth. Of note – three construction workers dies building the bridge: two fell off and one got buried alive in concrete below where we stood. Creepy!

Below: Colin Mathura-Jeffree and I after the climb! 100% survival rate.

Get yourself to new heights in a pair of Skechers soon!
