Around iD Dunedin Fashion Week 2013, young designer label UNDONE ran a charity auction along with fellow Dunedin label Moodie Tuesday for LifeLine NZ, and hosted an original mixed-media event, ‘Undone X Moodie Tuesday iD Fashion Week Showcase.’
The two labels held the event with an edgy-punk-emo-biker theme on Tuesday 12th March, showcasing art, music, fashion and ?lm.
UNDONE designers Elise Barnes and Rachel Webb held an event with a real difference. The lighting was atmospheric, clothes were suspended in the air, a film was playing, art was scattered, Harleys were on display, jewellery was showcased and the music was pumping. The showcase merged an eclectic mix of Dunedin talent.
The designers used mixed texture in their collection, with cowhide, leather, crushed velvet, goat skin and cotton all used to effect.
I really loved the crushed velvet dress UNDONE had on display and the intricate jewellery designed by Steph from Creeps and Violets.
The jacket pictured below was auctioned on Trademe and raised $250 for LifeLine NZ and featured the two labels’ colaborative print. The jacket was screen-printed on leather, handmade in NZ, and one-off.
