We spend 5 minutes with the gorgeous and talented Chelsea Winter, who won Masterchef NZ and has a fabulously well-rounded view on health, fitness and food.
We caught up with Chelsea at the Pitango soup launch at Main Course and chatted to her about her healthy lifestyle philosophy and beauty regime. You can visit her fantastic food blog at chelseawinter.co.nz with a wealth of resources of her recipes online. Her first cookbook, At My Table, sold-out and she has another out now.
What do you do to stay healthy?
I like to exercise by walking my dog, and going to the gym. I don’t buy into low-fat diets; I believe in eating natural foods, with loads of fresh veges, no preservatives, and as close to homemade as possible.
What are your ‘naughty foods’, then?
Cheese and butter. I have my “bad days” too! But overall my philosophy is about balance. If you eat something ‘bad’, next day get a balance back.
Are you a cat or a dog person?
A dog person. I have a dog called Sprite; she’s a labradoodle.
What’s your skincare regime?
The Trilogy Gentle range including the Trilogy Gentle Facial Exfoliant, Trilogy Very Gentle Moisturising Cream, Trilogy Rosehip Oil at night, and the Trilogy Body Oil.
What makeup do you like?
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner to line eyes, and Benefit Brow Zings brow kit on eyebrows.
