NZ’s hottest home baker judge Dean Brettschneider treated us to a bread making demonstration with Flora for those with high cholesterol…
I love to bake and as any baker knows one must sample to make sure it is of good quality. Unfortunately for me high cholesterol runs in my family and I have been afflicted with bad genetics. However the wonderful people at Flora solved my problem when they launched their product Flora Pro Activ which helps lower chloestrerol and is great for baking with.
Now the clever people at Flora have developed another great product that is good for our hearts, tastes great and can be used for baking or cooking with. Flora Buttery is churned with real buttermilk and has 65% less saturated fat than normal butter while still having a lovely buttery taste that you will love. Flora Buttery contains poly and mono unsaturated fats which is good news for your heart!
To launch Flora Buttery Global Baker and ‘New Zealand’s Hottest Home Baker’ judge Dean Brettschneider treated us to a bread making demonstration. Dean demystified bread making with his entertaining talk and let us loose to try making dough ourselves. Dean chose to show us the kneading process because he believes many people are scared of making bread or go wrong during the kneading process. The trick, as I found, is not to knead it continuously instead knead it only for a minute then let it rest and repeat around five times over fifteen minutes.
Bread making is a long process so we were not able to taste our attempts but since they were to be baked and donated to the Auckland City Mission I was fine with that. We were treated to scrumptious lunch and sampled some of Dean’s amazing bread with Flora Buttery. And it was delicious! I enjoyed Flora Buttery slathered on a piece of freshly baked bread without any guilt about raising my cholesterol levels.
The people at Flora are so confident you will love their product they are offering a full purchase refund if you are not happy with Flora Buttery (product must be purchased between 20th September and 17th October).
In store 16 August 2010.
