Spirit House Desserts

If you enjoy the exotic flavours of Asian fusion, or just need some coffee table inspiration, this is the book for you: Spirit House Desserts by Helen Brierty…

Four of the Sprit House restaurant chefs, Libby Bott, Nadine Guidi, Nathan Lastavec and Renee Kenniwell share with us their unique dessert recipes in this charming book, Spirit House Desserts, by Helen Brierty.

Using many fragrant ingredients, such as lemongrass, coconut, tropical fruits, palm sugar and lime the chefs present a comprehensive selection of Asian fusion desserts, reminiscent of the exotic flavours of Thailand. The book is beautifully photographed and while the dishes presented look absolutely stunning, recipes are not overly complex, and accessible for anyone to impress at the next home party.

Recipes covered in the book include a wide range of dessert dishes including ice creams, sorbets, puddings, tarts, soufflés, cakes, truffles and slices. A few of the recipes that really caught my eye were the deconstructed citrus pistachio tart, the delicious looking chilled mango pudding, and the kaffir lime, white chocolate and coconut truffles.

If you enjoy the exotic flavours of Asian fusion, or just need some coffee table inspiration, this is the book for you!
