Doing less and doing it better seems to be a mantra for these times. No sooner had I got Dr Libby Weaver’s book, ‘Rushing Woman’s Syndrome’ on the impact of a never-ending to do list on your health, than I get invited to a relaxing lunch to hear from Wallace and the GO Healthy nutritionalists on just that.
GO Healthy NZ have been producing awesome dietary supplements for over five years now and we got to hear about their GO Adrenal Support capsules, and how they combat stress with Vitamins B5, B6, B12 for the nervous system, Vitamin C for the immune system, Magnesium for calmness, Zinc for the immune system, Potassium to combat fatigue, Siberian ginseng for the adrenal glands, and rose root for mental clarity and focus. Go Adrenal Support retail for $36.90 for 60 vegecaps from stockists nationwide. Phone 0508 466 9327 for stockists or see www.gohealthynz.co.nz
You may well be familiar with the slow food movement – not just casserole lamb dishes, as Wallace joked he thought it meant – but not know what the entire slow living movement entails. In a nutshell, it’s a return to old-fashioned values such as using technology less when you’re with people, sitting and eating together at the table, and valuing quality over quantity. Less is, in fact, more.
I’m going to be reading the book so if you see me around, put down your iPhone and have a chat!
‘Don’t just do something, sit there’ by Wallace Chapman is published by Penguin Books.
