Forget bad hair days – I have had two bad hair months! And my confidence was blown and I have been too scared to head back to a hairdresser to fix it.
Basically, I went beach blonde. Never get the last appointment on Christmas Eve; the hairdresser will already be contemplating the Christmas champagne and not you.
But these new L’Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Ever Pure products have gone a long way towards making my hair feel and look much healthier. They are free of sulphates and salts which can strip the colour of your hair and leave it dull and weakened, which is not what you need when you have coloured your precious locks.

I tried the Ever Pure Colour Care System with its Moisture Shampoo and the Moisture Conditioner ($16.99 each.) I especially loved the conditioner, which smells of mint and rosemary and reminded me of a treatment you might get at a salon. It is thick and creamy and really did the job.
I tried the leave-in conditioner too, which is a gel that you apply to the ends of your hair to help maintain its condition ($19.99.) To be honest, I have a morbid fear of such conditioners, after turning up at work and people asking me if I forgot to rinse out my conditioner. Ouch! This one, however was lightweight enough to blend in nicely and didn’t look obvious.
If you are keen to maintain your colour for as long as you can, then I would recommend giving these products a go, as they claim that your hair colour will remain pure even after 32 washes. It is like insurance for your expensive hair colour!
