Catwalk Hair How-To: Juliette Hogan
Lauren Gunn of Stephen Marr tells us how to create the hair from Juliette Hogan’s AW13 show at New Zealand Fashion Week 2012.
The hair look for Juliette Hogan’s show was ingénue 60’s style, a perfect match for the sweet sophistication of her 17th collection. With sheer lace skater dresses, vermillion blazers and signature print silk scarves, the models took to the runway trailing a wall of shimmering hair behind them.
“This is a look that projects confident sexuality, its a mashup of Brigitte Bardot’s supercharged feminity and Jackie O’s cool foxlike charm.”
Step 1. Backcomb your hair in a halo section around the crown, fixing it with Sebastian Zero Gravity Spray.
Step 2. Take a short centre part at the front and tuck the ends behind your ears.
Step 3. Sweep the rest up your hair up and over the backcombed crown section, spraying light layers of Sebastian Zero Gravity until it holds its shape.
Step 4. Place a bobby pin either side of the crown to secure the sides in place and brush all the ends of you hair to the back.
Hot Tip: This looks equally hot with a side part or swept into a low ponytail at the back…and lashings of black mascara.
