Garnier has released the first ammonia-free home haircoolour based on oil. The new haircolour, Olia, recognises the growing trend of the benefits of hair oils for the first time in home hair colour.
Many women choose to colour their hair at home rather than at a salon for reasons of economy, time-saving and convenience. They also want nourished hair, but water-based hair dyes can cause dryness and damage hair.
To this end, Garnier has developed the Olia formula, which contains 60% oil to give your hair deep condition and nourishment and the added bonus of diffusing colour directly into the hair shaft.
Olia contains four different natural oils – sunflower, camellia, passionflower and limnanthes alba – to protect and nourish hair, and comes in 18 shades at launch date. It retails for $16.99 from supermarkets, pharmacies, The Warehouse and KMart.
