Rodney Wayne salon goers can also head instore for a decadent Ritual (in-salon treatment) and blow-dry, where both the home Cure & the in-salon Ritual donate $5 to the cause. The perfect way to look and feel good.
Aiming to raise $80,000 for the Breast Cancer Research Trust, the charitable campaign allows women to look good and support the Trust in finding a cure for the disease by 2018.
When anyone close to you contracts a disease as serious as cancer, it can lead to some deep and personal soul searching. And so it has been for renowned New Zealand soul diva Hollie Smith in partnering with the Breast Cancer Research Trust which aims to find a cure for breast cancer by 2018.
A key element of the promotion is Hollie Smith’s new album Humour and the Misfortune of Others which is received as a complimentary gift to Rodney Wayne clients who purchase a Kérastase Home Care Cure consisting of two products.
Hollie’s involvement as face of the campaign has come about because a best friend of hers, fellow media personality Helena McAlpine, and her aunt have both been battling breast cancer. “When I was asked to help out as the face of this year’s campaign I immediately felt it was a good way to become involved and support my friend and my beloved auntie in their battles,” she says.
The special ritual and blow-dry Ritual Cure package ($60.00 excluding GHDs) involves a Rodney Wayne stylist diagnosing each client’s scalp and hair needs then prescribing a personalised Ritual for a Cure. The Ritual involves double cleansing of the hair with a wonderfully relaxing massage, followed by an exclusive in salon treatment which is milked into the hair to treat it from root to tip. The Ritual is then completed with the blow-dry.
Ritual for a Cure is supported by Rodney Wayne for the third year running and Kérastase in aid of the Breast Cancer Research Trust and runs from April for a limited time.
