Glassons flagship in Broadway Newmarket will be the stable for Pony Xpress- a capsule salon set up in a colab with BLAZE salon – offering eight blow-dry styles at affordable prices to fillies who gallop in for the mane event.
Fashion and hair are of course keen stable-mates and now with Pony Xpress popping up in Glassons Newmarket, shoppers can get their hair styled while buying the latest clothes. The cost is $35 and it takes 30 minutes.
The Pony Xpress ‘Pod’ is a New Zealand first, offering an array of eight blow-dry-based hair styles at affordable prices in a quick turnaround time by the award-winning team behind BLAZE salon on Broadway, Newmarket.
Creators say the Pony Xpress ‘Pod’ has been set up in answer to international trends to provide consumers "hungry to be challenged and entertained with a fuller experience at retail level" taking shopping as entertainment to a whole new level from the normal sight these days of a cafe inside a store. Thread thinks a make-up service would be a nice addition to complete the clothes+hair look.
The styles all have starlet names so don’t go asking for "a Rachel", instead, try a Charlize, a Scarlett or an Angelina.
Pony Xpress will open inside Glassons Newmarket, Auckland, on 20 August 2010.
